So I really would love to go blonde! Im naturally auburn, and I havn't bleached or even dyed my hair in a few years now as I came out in a rash after the bleach, but im thinking it could have been a chemical burn (will obviously do a patch test first!) As it was only my ears and my hair line, although my actual scalp was fine.
Im wondering if you would suggest going to a salon? Ive not been to a salon even longer than 4 years as each time ive had a bad experience, and i would like to keep PPD out of the equation if I can to lower allergy risks.
Is a nice blonde easy to achieve with direct dyes?
And is there a bleach someone can recommend thats perhaps more "gentle" compared to say, xxl when it touches skin?
Also, would you recommend full bleaches, or gradually with bleach baths?

Most stuff is more gentle than xxl 🙂 you just want a high quality bleach and lower volume peroxide. It makes a big difference.
So what you have now is the first photo in the second post? Is it filtered because your hair looks like it had hardly any red in it there, let alone being auburn! I believe you are, but do you have a better photo of it? Or are none of them actually you?
