Well poop... hair FAIL. http://imgur.com/9EDRf1f
I had purple/teal ombre going on with black on the top. Decided the black was too harsh for my face. Used one color b4. Now the top is reddish brown and super clashes with my pale teal/purple lengths. . Anyone have any good ideas?? I was hoping to do a natural color on top and just let it grow out and stop bleaching but... ugh brown looks awful.
If you still want a natural shade, I would pop a brownfrom Adore over the reddish brown areas to make it darker and less warm. Medium brown is very ash toned.
Alternatively a warm purple (SFX deep purple diluted, or Adore purple rage) would come out a deep berry shade that would look stunning with teal and purple ends
Or you could ramp up the red or orange tones for more contrast.
Actually, I like it as it is!
I actually have sfx deep purple and adore purple rage lying around after i hoarded purple dyes. Hmm. Maybe I'll do a strand test of those! I'll have a look at the adore browns, it would be the least damaging option.
I also started playing with the idea of bleaching it and doing the top pink? Would that look good?
And thank you Janineb! I've been hiding it in a beanie all day 😂:p
I actually really love this too! It definitely looks intentional. That light lavender shade is really covetable and I've been loving the grunge-glam look of pastely dip-dyes on brown hair/pastel with regrowth...
Edit: And although I can see why you might want a cooler brown, personally I think part of the charm of those styles is the carefree way of dip dyeing your natural hair as is, so it doesn't look bad to me at all π
