Hi,
new here, and realise the answer to this is probably somewhere on the forum, but maybe someone can point me to the right place.
My daughter is looking to get rid of two years worth of semi-permanent reds/plums from her naturally mid-to-dark brown hair (without any hint of red).
Her hair seems to be very porous toward the red, as dyeing her hair to a colour similar to her natural colour (trying to cover the red) fades within a few washes and then she's back to a reddish tint.
She has thick hair prone to frizziness, a natural wave which she irons out with the hottest irons she can find and leaves countless broken hairs in the sink every morning, so itΒ΄s definitely not in the best of condition. But now she's threatening the bleach, and it would be nice to give some advice from the experts.
There aren't any salons near us, and the ones in town are too expensive for the extensive decolouring I think she needs.
Thanks for your help,
Sarah

Which dyes did she use? I'm worried she may have melted silicone into her shaft from the high heat, so there's a chance you can't remove it all. I would start by using a colour remover, like decolour. After 3 goes see what you're left with. Then I'd check out the adore Brown's in beeunique to find a Brown to achieve the colour she's after π don't let her use bleach. It's the devil!haha.
