I have noooooo experience with these things, but I've heard of people who have put conditioner in their hair, left it on for aaaaaaaaaages and aaaaaaaaaaages, then spend hours and hours combing them out.

But I'm sure there's got to be a better method.

I just feel like they need to go, some days I love them but most of the time now I hate them and dont know why I got them in the first place. They work for some people, just not for me :/

The best thing to do is to cut the extenders off first, you can also cut above said extenders and go from there, I use crochet needles to unpick dreads personally.

Alternatively you can use any other silicone loaded product, this is just my personal favourite.
Go slowly, and be prepared to lose a good deal of hair. Some of them come out very well, some do not. I wish you good luck. 🙂
