I can't decide whether to bleach/colour all of my hair, or just do this to the front of my hair and do the rest permanent black. I love both ideas, but obviously I can't do both...I hate being so indecisive πŸ™

If you bleach all of it then you could still put a semi black over al of it if you got bored of having it all dyed, whereas dying it black will be harder to change back from. You could do all over colour first?

I'm so very tempted to cut my hair in to a messy bob... I've been letting it grow but I fancy something fresh and new and the ends are damaged anyway

I think that would look great on you.

Try the bleach/colour all over first, then if you don't like it you can slap black over it later.

Aww Puerkz! I know exactly what you mean.

However, I think I might have to dye a good portion of my hair a "natural colour" and as I let it grow in. Since I've been losing weight my hair is a LOT more fragile than it used to be and breakage is getting worse and worse as I'm swimming... I think I need to let the natural colour grow in and then ombre it or something... Arg I don't know! The thought of it being natural panics me, but it looks so horrible right now πŸ™

Natural hair is scary!
I have been toying with letting my roots grow out all winter because i hate dyeing my hair in the winter (I can't even bear to wash it very often) and I finally took the plunge and just bleached the roots of my fringe. I have dyed the top of my hair a darker silver and it blends really well with my natural colour, which is about 2 inches of regrowth. The ends are diluted Blue Velvet so I am not completely devoid of colour. My fringe area will be white/light silver when the current dye fades (I was in a rush and mixed the toner too pink, so had to cover it with a darker mix)
I don't know if I will be able to stick with it, but it was so nice to not have to bleach all my roots πŸ™‚

I did it so i cam tie it back and it looks all black (for job interviews). But i am hating it so might have to re-place the black and make it an ombre from black to bright. I'll post some pics later as it's a good cover up method.

Trying to get an accurate picture of my unnatural hair color is a pain in the rear! I have new color that I love but it looks to pink in one pic due to lighting and it looks to blue/purple in others! Taking 100 pictures to capture the color in real life is annoying.  I never take selfies otherwise. It makes me feel weird taking so many pics, but I really want to share my color triumphs and fails with all you wonderful ladies.

I've managed to get almost blonde hair. I'm now completely undecided as to what to do with it now, I have rose red and adore violet gem and aquamarine and I can't decide.

I fully sympathise, blank canasses always throw me. You could do a gradient of some type (not sure how to describe it, i know your hair is short) going from Rose red to aquamarine with violet gem in the middle.
Or take advantage of the light base and go pastel. Lilac (a drop each of aquamarine and Rose Red should do it) and a minty aqua (diluted neat aquamarine) would look stunning

Boo my hair was still too yellow for pastels so I've dyed it with undiluted violet gem and some diluted rose red bits and I'm going to let it fade down and hopefully go pastel next time I do my roots πŸ™‚

That's a bummer, Marthakins. I'm going to try for a silver lilac. I have some accidental from my fading, but my hair is looking kinda sad. My husband cousin is a pro hairstylist and colorist here in the US, and she us giving me an Olaplex treatment today. I might have her lighten it to Platinum if she thinks it can be done safely. If not I'm back to purple probably and let my hair rest for a while. I'm just so impatient! Poor hair πŸ™

If you want a silvery lilac you don't need a totally white base as the yellow will help to create the grey tones within the lilac.

I got my new Aore dyes today, I am itching to try them out, especially the new Platinum

I've only had my green hair for a short while but I already have an idea for my next hair colours! I may start fading soon...
