Wow, Wicked...I didn't realize that was you(I always look at avatars instead of names).  Your hair looks incredible!

I am slowly getting my length back.  I am getting less and less breakage now.  My damn undercut can't grow fast enough.  It is around 7 inches long now and has a quite a ways to go before it is the length of the rest of my hair.  It drives me so nuts that I've been contemplating cutting the rest to match.  I don't think I can do it, though.

LOL yes that is me with 'naked hair', it had barely any dye, no conditioner and no oils on it  (i was about to re-dye.)

I combed out my dreads a few weeks ago. They made me insecure and even though I love dreads, my hair was too short when I had them set and if I ever try dreads again, I want to have a lot longer and also even length hair.

Then I dyed most of my hair black and now I regret it, hahaha. 😛 Thinking of getting some decolour removers off of ebay when I have money again and seeing what will happen.

Oh, I also had some of the end chopped off, because there was some tearing and damage (obviously, after one day and one evening of combing out dreads), I'm pleased with the cut, but eh, that black was a mistake. Still have a lovely pink/lilac fringe bit, but still.

Waiting a month to lighten up my hair with a BB is already grating on me. I hate blonde hair on myself & I'm desperate to do pretty colours *ott*

I need to make a ´hair confession´! This morning I noticed one of my hairs lying on my laptop and it looked weird, and when I picked it up to investigate further, I counted 11 split ends on it...yuck!!  😮 😮  I am so ashamed and should be marched immediately to the hairdresser!  :-[
I hate getting it cut though...its not fair, why can´t the hair on your head grow as fast as the hair on your legs or under your arms, and vice versa - my life would be much better if it were that way around!

Wow.  11 splits on one strand is impressive.  I wouldn't have thought that was even possible.

You could just get yourself a pair of hairdressing scissors and seek & destroy the splits yourself.

I know, I wouldn´t have thought it was possible either until I saw it with my own eyes...there were all splits coming off the one side, all the way up the length of my hair.  It looked like some sort of exotic caterpillar! Then I went and googled split ends to learn about them and see how it was possible for one hair to get like that. Even though I don´t ever use heat on my hair, it looks like I should maybe stop drying my hair vigorously with a towel after I shower!

Sadly, what most don't realise is every single move you make when you have long hair is causing damage! Well, obviously all hair, but the longer the hair the older the hair is at the bottom and so already time ravaged. Hair getting blown in the wind is even damaging. None of it is drastic, but it all adds up.

The unfortunate thing is, if there's one hair like that, there will be more. Do a search and destroy, but there might be too many to rectify that way...

I read somewhere you should handle your hair as if it was antique lace or silk.

I don't use a normal towel on my hair any more, I have a smooth microfibre towel.  Supposedly a big old t-shirt is the best thing to wrap your hair up in after washing.

An old t-shirt is great for wrapping hair up, it soaks up water better to be honest. Best to be pure cotton though.

Noticed for the first time today that my dip-dye dries faster than the rest of my hair.  Mmmmmm, porous much?

It's fading up nicely, less inky-dark blue already and I think it's going to go quite mermaidy  🙂

I can't decide whether to bleach/colour all of my hair, or just do this to the front of my hair and do the rest permanent black. I love both ideas, but obviously I can't do both...I hate being so indecisive 🙁

I'm so very tempted to cut my hair in to a messy bob... I've been letting it grow but I fancy something fresh and new and the ends are damaged anyway
