Am i the only one who can't wait to wash my hair ager getting my hair cut?! its soooo flat!!

I never like the way they style my hair when I get it cut. Usually I just go straight Home and make it look like my own hair again πŸ™‚

I just don't get it, especially if i have a fringe, they always part it then leave it till last to dry, at which point it has already dried with a massive split it it, i just don't get it!!

He straightened mine this time (unnecessarily, as i have almost poker straight hair anyway) so theres not really anything i can to with it. I really want to wash it, but i am trying to be so good with eeking out my washes!! I am hoping sleeping on it might add a bit of body lol

I always wash my hair as soon as I get home from the hairdressers! Usually have to chop off bits they missed too as my hair is so thick they always miss something. This last time, it was a super short cut but he left bits about an inch long behind my ears!

I always wash my hair as soon as I get home from a haircut too. Even without added products, it's always flat.

I'm considering dying a couple of my dreads over with green to get a teal shade (blue now), but I'm unsure if this will look nice and whether the dreads need to be a certain age before dying them, hmmm.

I think it would definitely
look good, but I have no idea about how old they would have to be or anything.

Thanks, I think it'll look good too.. I've asked on a Dutch dreadlock forum about when it's adviced to dye and such, so I'll wait and see what they say!

I had a friend who went grey at 17. Like almost completely. It was really odd.

My hair started going grey at 17. 'Grey' hair is never really grey, it is unpigmented so totally white, the grey effect is just where the white is mingled with the coloured hairs.
My hair is actually less grey now than it was a few years back, which is odd.

Mine started going grey at 17 as well!  I am 29 now and around 25% grey.

Here's where I make you all sick. I'm 41 and only just seeing my first white hairs coming through. There's about 5 on either side just in front of my ears and there's a couple on the top of my head. I actually always kinda wanted grey to come through, I thought I was going to be like my mum and get greys before I was 25, but no! I might have felt differently had it happened though.

This is only partially true. When hair starts to grey, the cells that produce the hair pigment are dying off. Some people never get fully white hair because some of these cells still produce a small amount of pigment causing a greyish color to remain. I compared my moms hair and mine for a forensic lab experiment and hers is a noticeable grey color where mine was completely white.
