Question about virgin hair & bleached hair

I have had my hair all different colours in the past and have grew my hair out several times, i now have my natrual ash blonde almost brown virgin hair to my neck which i have grown out (im keeping it this way, this time)

The hair on the ends is my old hair which i had cut into a bob (to get rid of some damaged hair) my hair is now fully to just over boobs.

I have started ombrein the ends my old hair (im at the yellow stage)from a brown shade leaving it like this for a while until i can bleach it again.

my question is.. i know hair can break of when bleached but is there anyway that bleaching my ends can damage the virgin hair?

im not really that bothered about my ends i like them for length but if i had to cut them of i would but i just want to add a bit of colour (blonde) for a while but dont want the bleach to ruin my virgin hair as it has never been dyed and not straightened much either.

Thanks for all help and advice given it is appricated

It can't really affect it no. Well, not likely anyway. You would have to watch out for damage like split ends, much more likely in bleached hair, travelling up into the unbleached hair. Keep on top of that and it should be fine.

Thank you for your reply

I do have a few split ends on my natrual hair (I think) like flyways can only see them directly under a indoof light  though. There like peices of hair that are growing but I'm not sure if that's what it is or if there peices of hair that have snapped or if my hair is static. I don't put heat on my hair (not  for past couple of years) and haven't coloured it so don't know why it is like that unless the ends are causing it as they had been dye numberous times with a lot of nightmares that's why I decided to grow it out after I went to a salon and she totally killed my hair so I had it cut short.

When it's wet I can see the flyways even more so I'm not sure  if it is split up. I did have the ends brown and when growing it out I didn't dye them at all just left them how they were but I also have these bits of hair right on top of my head to I do have very thick straight slightly wavy hair so that's why I thought it could of been bits growing

There are many reasons for small flyaway hairs, some is damage, some is just that's what hair does.

Your final though is actually likely right. The most common reason is that just how hair grows. Each hair has a natural life span. The average is 7 years. But there isn't a magic date they all fall out and start again, we'd all have bald periods if that were the case! What actually happens is, you're constantly losing hair that has just started growing. It drops out to allow a new cycle with a new hair. So, you always have hair that's shorter than the rest.

That doesn't mean these are the split hairs, that's not what I'm saying. Go through the ends of the most damaged hair and you're likely to be able to see some. You can literally see that the hair has split in two (or much more sometimes). You can twist a section  of hair to make them poke out and that way you can trim them without losing length. Split hair doesn't mean it's already broken (though it can mean that, obviously) it's really referring to the fact that the end has split and that split can continue up the hair which means all of that hair is damaged. You need to minimise this.
