Product recommendations from sallys?

I've decided after months of contemplation to finally go platinum ( hallelujah), which in itself is totally awesome, but I have a problem in that I literally have no idea about what products to buy.
The only places I can go to purchase products for bleaching are sallys and hairdressing salons. Honestly, I'm not financially overjoyed, and although I know cheap is not necessarily a good idea when it comes to dabbling with hair , I'd like to keep the overall price of the bleaching process as low as I can manage without damaging my hair.
So, I understand that I'll need
• Peroxide
• Bleach
• Toner
• Purple Shampoo
• Aftercare products. I'm familiar with deep conditioners but I have no idea about protein treatments, reconstructors or any others

I'm awfully sorry for so many questions, and I'll welcome advice in any shape or form
Thanks!  *puzz*

Oh gosh, sorry, I forgot about that  *puzz*
I live in Ireland (the land of consistent downpours)

I'd advice getting bleach powder and peroxide from eBay, you can find really good deals, for example 1000ml of 20% peroxide +  500g bleach powder for 16 pounds with postage. You don't need purple shampoo and toner, just get either of these, or you can opt for purple semi perm dye diluted with conditioner.

Holy grail aftercare products here are Joico KPak reconstructor and intense hydrator, coconut oil, and sillicone free conditioners.

Bleach your hair gradually please 🙂 Good luck!

@crowcrow Thanks for the advice about the reconstructors and such, I'll sure look into where to buy them, and it's great I won't need both the shampoo and toner!
As with bleaching gradually, gosh, I've read enough stories here and seen as many girls with their straw bleached locks prance into school to scare me into always staying patient ⌒.⌒
Unfortunately I can't currently purchase products online, although I'd much prefer that as they're usually much cheaper, but nevertheless, thankyou!

I don't know if Sallys over in Ireland carries AgeBeautiful or not, but their crème lightener is really good. I think it's the best bleach that Sallys carries here in the states IMO. It comes in like, 3 oz tubes though for about $5 here so if your hair is long you'll need a few of them at least. Your hair is virgin medium blonde? My hair is a resistant dark ash blonde and the Age Beautiful lifted it to platinum in about 35-45 minutes with a 30 vol bleach bath (I used the same amount of shampoo as I did developer, so it was only 15 vol). I heated it up the first 10 minutes and heated it up sporadically throughout just to keep it warm. My hair didn't feel anywhere near as damaged or dry as it always had using other sallys brands either.

Also, before you bleach, at least a couple hours before slather your hair in coconut oil from the grocery store. it really helps keep the damage down!

For aftercare if you can't order online (Joico really is awesome!), see if your Sallys carries Aphogee 2 in 1 - they're 2 packets connected to each other, one is for protein, the other for moisture. Or, just mix up some eggs with some coconut oil or olive oil like mayonnaise, or just use mayonnaise (it weirds some people out though so the eggs + oil thing would be better, it's the same thing as mayo essentially). Almost all protein treatments can make the hair feel dry, especially when done after bleaching as is the best time to do it really, so follow it with an overnight coconut oil +olive oil soak and/or some deep conditioning.

I would avoid things with silicones in it during the whole lightening process, they mask the hair's true condition. really though, you should only need a bleach or two for medium blonde hair depending on the vol you use, so your hair should still be in good shape afterwards with the pre + post care

When you are bleaching though, you'll want your bleach to be around a yogurt-ish consistency, you want to get it on as quickly as you can, be liberal with the product so it doesn't dry out + get patchy, and be sure to cover it with a cap

Thank-you so much for your advice, it's incredibly helpful and I'll definitely use it!

Although I originally planned to bleach my hair before I go on holidays, due to the amount of reviews and recommendations here on products only available online, I think I can hold on till I can buy them, around early august. If it's going to affect the overall health of my hair and the quality of the change, it's worth the wait!

The lightener, agebeautiful, sounds fantastic, and I also checked the aphogee treatment, but unfortunately, it seems that you can only buy them in the U.S.
The coconut oil soak sounds to work wonders,  same with the mayonnaise/ egg-coconut-olive oil ( although, my family will really believe I've gone mad if they see me slathering mayo over my hair - so I think it's best I use the other concoction) . And I'll stay away from silicones too.
Again, thanks  🙂
