Is it a bad idea to put a high lift color over a color that's processing, if it's from the same line? Want to brighten up the roots around my face while I'm smudging my roots around the rest of my head.

You will need to do the highlights, cover with foils, then add the colour to the rest of the hair. You can't put the high lift straight on top of the darker colour while it is processing if that is what you meant
