I need advice please at present I have purple hair and have had highlights put in before I coloured my hair using a semi permanent colour. I have bought koleston perfect in 0/66 and I need help with how to use it I have also bought welloxon perfect 12% to mix with it. Is that all I need hair product wise and what ratio should I use. I am really fed up with purple coming of on my pillow please can someone give me instructions for use. Thank you so much x

I wouldn’t use that on already highlighted hair. It’s very damaging and not, ironically,  very permanent at all. Most of the “permanent” dyes tend to be more brown based anyway and fade badly. And, as I say, they will fade a lot. You’ll have to redo it and add a lot of damage again. It’s a sure fire way to ruin your hair, unfortunately.

To stop rub off from direct dyes you just need to dilute them with cheap white conditioner. Add just enough so when you mix it the colour doesn’t change the colour of the dye. It will be enough so the there’s not excess pigment in the dye that is then going to rub off on other things. It also means your dye goes further!

To keep it from fading, add a little dye to your normal conditioner and use it each time you wash. You then get a mini top up each time you wash.

adding to Janine's advice, washing your hair with cold water will help to stop the color bleed. I usually wash it with warm water and do a cold water rinse at the end

I have found Arctic Fox purple rain doesn't rub off on my neck or my pillow and it's a beautiful shade. Is the only one i use now!

Why? If you're going to say something like that, explain why please.
