Oh dear - getting bored again. Ideas please!

So I've been pink for at least 3 months now, so time to change it up again I think.

I love virgin rose, but thinking it should be a bit brighter pink - something without the purple tone in it. I'm thinking atomic pink maybe? But as there's no sfx at the moment, I was thinking of leaving the vr but putting some blue sections in as accents. Do blues go easily over pink? I don't really want to re-process at this stage. I'm thinking a bright blue rather than turquoise - although any suggestions welcomed. I have cool skin tones so don't want yellow based colours.

How easy is it to add another colour in segments? Do they bleed easily? And any brand recommendations for blue colours would be good.

Sorry - lots of questions. Also pondering a side cut as well - but not quite sure on that yet...

Most blues will go purple over a pink, even turquoises. Purple and Virgin Rose would look lovely together, and any bleeding will just make various shades of blue/purple/pink. Wrap the sections in foil when you are dying to prevent the colour getting onto the pink areas, and rinse separately.

My hair was atomic pink for over a year. It was much more bright/saturated than my profile pic but not as dark as your profile pic. I didn't bother fading it at all and I put Manic Panic Shocking blue over it mixed with a small amount of conditioner. It came out a very saturated blue with no hint whatsoever of purple. I've washed it with sulphate shampoo several times and its just fading lighter blue. My roots are slightly more greenish blue where my hair was not stained pink.

I was worried manic panic might fade too fast so I put slightly diluted Adore Aquamarine over everything for some extra blueness.

No hint of purple!!! With the aquamarine over it now it definitely has a more aqua color I love it! You should do a strand test though and wash/dry it a couple times to see if you like the fade.

With hair as saturated as yours currently is, it will probably go purple.  If you can fade it down to a mid pastel, though, you could go blue over it (I put turquoise over pale pink and it was fine).

Hmmm - maybe I'll wait a bit then. I'm planning on fading now until July anyway (after my holiday) so I'll be patient and leave well alone til then. I know I'm rubbish though - I want new things all the time! Plus my man isn't loving the blue idea - I was only going to do a couple of strips anyway - maybe I'll buy clip in ones for now to keep me quiet!
