Hi I used colour b4 a few weeks ago to take the dark brown away and see what I was left with I was left with my grey roots and a reddish brown/orange. I ended up putting a casting rich espresso on my hair as I had to go to work the next day and ended up dark. I need to know when I do colour b4 again what is the best non permanent colour to use that covers my grey. I liked the colour I was left to go from there i would like to know what shade to use, would a 6-8 wash in nice and easy or a casting I would like end up a mahogany brown one day but not to dark.

I'd recommend Adore for brown shades, I used to use the Nice and Easy 6-8 wash ones but they've changed the formula and the last one I had turned my roots charcoal grey and lasted about 2 washes! As long as your hair has been colour treated prior to using the Adore it will stick (so by you using the castings it should have roughed it up enough to take hold) but greys can be more resistant so you may need to reapply it more frequently to keep them covered.
You can mix different shades together with the adore dyes, and you can dilute them with conditioner if you don't want them as dark (though this might affect how long they stick to your greys)
