OK, So my hair needs a lot of care but I'm a vegan with very little money so most reconstructers etc are a no go for me.

If anyone knows of some good natural home remedies that would be awesome as my hair is dry and snapping all over the place.

I'm afraid there's no way to permanently repair hair. The best thing you can do to save money is to get a really good hair cut and cut off most, or preferably all, of the damage.

For protein, at the moment I don't have time to search and I can only think of almond milk for vegans to use. Obviously eggs or mayo is a no go! But, I don't think it's going to be anything like a miracle cure for hair that's snapping.

What was the cause of the damage and the snapping?

I reckon coconut oil may help a little (leave it on for at least a couple of hours and preferably overnight) but as Janine says the best thing for damaged hair is a good cut.

For protein you can use (diluted of course, say, in rooibos tea) low salt soy sauce, it's excellent because the protein is broken into amino acids which are much more usefull than whole proteins like you have in eggs which just gets rinsed away mostly.
So you put the stuff on clean hair, let pause for, dunno, 30 minutes, then rinse cold + vinegar.
And after that, aloe vera gel + coconut oil mix - the coconut will "seal the moisture in" that the aloe gel brings.
If you need slip like what cones give you can add brocoli oil to the mix (but it's expensive though).

Thank you for this, I shall give it a go.

I know I can't repair the damage but I need something that will reduce further damage as I can't afford to go to the hairdressers right now.

As for the cause of damage. I did several bleach baths on it and for awhile it was fine but like 2 weeks or so after the last bb, it started becoming dry when washing it and little bits began snapping off.
