Hi i have been using directions hair dye for years and love it, but i was wondering, has anyone ever mixed colours to make a vibrant purple? all i would need to know is which would be the best ones to mix together

I like to use Rose Red for making purples (Cerise would also work.) For the blue, I prefer Atlantic and Neon Blue, the old turquoise also made great purples but im not sure about the new formula. It depends on what shade of purple you want really.

I second rose red for the pink. It makes lovely purples

I mixed the new Plum with Cerise to counteract the green fade and Cerise + Midnight Blue and got a nice purple. I also tried Rose Red + Neon Blue + Lavender leftovers on a friend's hair, it got a nice purple shade but I can't really advise on the proportions as we were just experimenting to get rid of all the leftovers she had.
