Messed up my hair- suggestions?

This is what my hair currently looks like. I was trying to go blond from dark purple with overgrown roots, but my color didn't remove all the way and ended up mint green and I need to lighten my roots more. (My undercut is my natural hair color)

I'm not really sure what to do next with the color. I want to keep my undercut black and I plan on growing my roots out for a look kind of like this:

In the meantime I don't know what to do color wise. Does anyone have any suggestions? If it matters, my hair is in pretty good condition (no breakage, no 'gummy' feeling) so any extra processing probably won't make it fall out or anything.

Your first picture isn't showing up. I'm guessing you tried bleaching the purple out? Bleached purples usually go green; in the future, you should fade the color before applying any bleach. Here is a topic on fading: http://www.hairdyeforum.com/index.php?topic=1704.0
I would suggest trying some of those methods. If your hair is light enough, you can tone out the green with a bit of pink dye heavily diluted in conditioner.
