Making color depositing conditioner at home?

I'm a natural strawberry blonde who has gotten pretty heavy on the blonde side of things lately. I used Adore's Ginger and I love it, but I want the color to be a bit diluted, so that I'm still a strawberry blonde rather than full on ginger, and so my natural highlights come thru etc.

Can I make a color depositing conditioner? If so how? And how often would I use it? thx

Get some conditioner in a bowl (enough to really saturate your hair) and add some dye until it's the colour you want, simple! πŸ™‚

Use it when ever you want. It's none damaging so it doesn't matter.

Though rereading your question, I realise that wasn't what you really asked. What I talked about was diluting dye to make a paler version of the dye, which is what I thought you meant at first. For a colour depositing shampoo, it's exactly the same, but you just use a little squirt of dye. Generally we use it to keep dyed hair fresh and bright as it helps to top up colour washed away. If I do it, I do it on every wash. But it actually sounds like the first method is what you need.
