So I am looking for A bright purple for the ends of my extensions!

The pictures attached show my recent colours and the 2nd to last image is the sort of colour I am after!

I started with having crazy colour put in at a hair salon but it bleed straight away and had to be stripped,
So then I had the blonde and purple extensions put in which was good but after a while people got used to it and it wasn't as noticeable!
Then I had the red extensions put in which I also liked!
But I am A purple girl so thought as I have to wear my hair up for work to just colour the ends!
Have tried a few now but none last at all!
I had a Wella permanent applied at salon lasted 2 washes, also tried L'Oreal & Live XXL both also faded after 1 or 2 washes!
I don't mind if permanent or semi although I like the vibrancy of the semis better just as long as it lasts more than 1/2 washes!
I don't use hot water, harsh products or heat on my hair!
I have tried searching on line for a few months but I am still none the wiser!
I have seen good reviews for Pravana but can't find a stockist that has good feedback!
*thx* for any replies
;D

There is currently a world wide shortage on Special Effects, but it should be shipped out soon to distributors like Beeunique. I think their Deep Purple diluted a bit with conditioner would give you that color, it's a very warm purple. I've never tried that specific color myself but SFX is general is a very very long lasting  brand. Some colors are very difficult, if not impossible to fade lol. You could also try something like Directions Violet or Pravana Violet mixed with Directions Cerise

Have a look in the purples gallery. The Adore purples last well, as does Directions Plum, but it does fade rather blue now since they changed the formula. You can always mix several together to get the exact shade you want.

Thanx 4 replies

Yeah I checked the gallery and love them all! *loveeyes*

My work don't mind too much what I do but as a rule part of my job description is 'sensible' hair and no make-up (NO WAY!) ETC! Its even stated in the textbook we use for our qualification!  :'(

But most of my patients love my bright hair usually its the ones you don't expect either like I have a high court judge that complains if I'm between colours that I'm looking a bit boring  *boo*

Its more that I need to know that the colour won't bleed and because I have to be careful with my extensions!

But pretty much thinking what the bleep just go for it if it runs put a lilac over it all so be two tone purple!

Got couple of weeks till appointment so got time to decide & order!

Problem now tho seeing all the gorgeous photo's I want to go more colour  *gun*

Found this one it's pure purple - live colour XXL 😊

Isn't colour XXL a permanent dye? Be careful with that, putting something with peroxide over already bleached hair can be damaging.

They do do semi's this is a permanent but the hair is extensions which were tested first and due for a change after 4 weeks so thought might as well give it a go  πŸ™‚
