Long-Standing Stained Scalp

I dyed my hair blue about a year ago and purple about 4 to 6 months ago (I forget when exactly). I did it myself with little experience and messed up both of those times and got the hair dye on my scalp, but I can't remember which time was worse (I think it was the more recent time). Anyways, I thought I had washed it all out until recently. I just shaved my hair to find that my scalp is stained either blue or purple I can't tell. Its quite faint but definitely there. What is some advice for this situation? Thank you.
(I am aware of my mistakes if you were about to be critical of my choices) Next time I want to color my hair I will go to a professional.
Word of advice for this stain will be appreciated *lovestars*

Honestly, I don't think it's possible. Skin constantly replaces itself, I believe it's every month it's completely new. I would suspect maybe you're seeing some veins close to your head or something? Not sure, but I don't think it can be staining a whole year, even four months later. Maybe your could post a photo of what you're seeing?

Not sure why you'd think people on a forum about dying hair would criticise you for dying your own hair though πŸ™‚

What dye did you use? and How often do you wash your hair? I would have though your skin would have shed enough since you dyed it to mean that it was no longer stained! When you say you shaved your hair do you mean you shaved it fully, like with a razor? If so the blue you are seeing could just be the look of your hair follicles under the skin?

If you rub the area with a paper towel with alcohol-based hand gel, or something like a wet wipe or cosmetic wipe, you should see staining on the wipe if your head is still stained from dye. If not, then it's going to either be veins like Janine suggested or the hair follicles as lauralei suggested.
