Hi ladies and gentlemen,
Here's what I want: Natural, easy to transition ombre with roots at a level 6-7 ash blonde, getting progressively lighter toward the end.
I am naturally a level 7, dishwasher blonde that pulls very slight golden-sunshiney undertones. (that I'm unpleased with). I am currently at a level 9 or even 9.5N blonde, bleached.
I've always been a single color kind of girl and I'm finally going over to the ombre world. However with my budget, I am looking for a process that I can keep strictly AT HOME (don't try talk me out of this! lol. :P)
I'm totally at a loss over how to execute the ombre on my bleached hair. I would like opinions on what method would work best. When I search for Ombre at home, I return results of pre-existing brunettes lightening their hair. However, clearly I am trying to darken the crown of my head, and because of this, I am lost.
Does anyone have tutorials or resources to guide me?
I did an ombre type thing on my daughters bleached hair as she grew out her natural roots.
I used Adore in mocha, medium brown and a smidge of blue black heavily diluted in conditioner to create various shades of blonde with the darkest at the root and adding more conditioner to the mix for the mid lengths.
The advantage with direct dyes is they are non damaging which is a bonus on bleached hair, but they also mix and blend much more easily than oxidative dyes so you can get a smooth gradient of colour much more easily.

That is an amazing idea π Thank you for contributing.
