I use:
2 egg yolks
Some mayo
Some conditioner (the strong type for color treated, dry, or damaged hair)
I leave it in for a couple hours, keep a shower cap and a warm hat in, and I have done that for the last week every day. I have naturally curly hair, so i straighten and tease my hair a lot. But now, its reaaaaaaaaaaaaally soft and i can't stop touching it <3333
I remember a girl at school used to do something similar to this. One morning she washed her hair. Put on the egg mix then forgot to wash it out. It all dried in her hair and she and I were in the girl's loo for ages trying to comb and rinse it out lol! Got most of it but in art class in the afternoon she still had a gunky fringe lol!
Oh no lol! I didn't know that could happen! XD
Haha, yeah. Thanks for the memories, it was something that I'd almost forgotten. Luckily she could laugh about it, we giggled through most of the art class, much to the dismay of the teacher lol!
I love home remedies for hair, this one sounds good.
i've heard horror stories of people washing the egg out in hot water and it scrambling =s it might be an ld wives tale, but it's scared me non the less

Thank god she could laugh about it! When stuff like that happens if you don't look on the (imaginary) bright side you're gonna have a sh***y day lol!!

Oh wow that would be hilarious! Or horrible; either way I'd take pictures!
If I remember right I think my school buddy used to use lemon juice to wash it out with, she said it left it really clean. I know she definately used lemons on her hair. Maybe that would help with any left over smell too. She was very much into using natural stuff on her hair and her skin.

Oh i should try that because today my friend gives me a hug, looks at me like I'm crazy, and asks,"Why does your hair smell like mayo?"
I just laughed and she looked at me like i was crazy lol.
Haha, yeah I'm pretty sure that when she rinsed her hair out she added lemon juice to the water or something. Maybe give that a go.

Never had a problem with smell.............I have used a mix of egg and almond oil and the other was a mix of Avocado (mashed), almond oil & honey. All left hair feeling soft but I need to do quite a few more treatments of them as my hair (despite how it looks) is fried to hell.
