Is my hair soft from the grease I washed out, or the new conditioner?

The other day I used coconut oil soaked for an hour or two, and then co-washed with this Hollywood Beauty conditioner. In the past that had given me amazing results. I then put this new Shea Butter leave in conditioner that is great for heat styling but a little greasy. On their own coconut oil or the Shea Butter are amazing but since they both run greasy the combination made my hair really soft but disgustingly oily and awful.

The next day I had to wash it because I couldn't stand the grease. I decided to do a soak with Queen Helene's Ginseng Cholesterol, a new product I'd heard about and bought. I soaked it in for about an hour and a half with a cap, then shampooed thoroughly, used a tiny bit of Shimmer Lights conditioner, Kerasys repairing conditioner, and a little It's a 10 leave in conditioner.

All the products I used besides Queen Helene were ones I've used before and the combination is always mediocre, but this time my hair is soft as a silk and I can run my fingers through without any breakage and it feels like heaven, and not greasy either! And, it's flat and not puffy.

Do you think the softness is from the Queen Helene's, or all the grease that was in my hair before? My coconut oil always washes out by the second shampoo, so I'm guessing this amazing softness is from the Queen Helene's? Or could it just be a combination of all 3 accumulated?

It's probably the Queen Helen's. Pretty much all of my African American friends use Queen Helen's and they all swear by it. In cosmetology school we used to use cholesterol on our mannequins a lot, their hair dries out and damages quickly from all of the styling, back combing, hairspray, all the washing, etc and the cholesterol always made it so much softer + more manageable. I mean, I'm sure the other products are helping too, but considering your past use with them vs this time with the Queen Helen's, it most likely is that one that's making that difference.

I'm glad because I love this Queen Helene's. The original actually has sulfates but the Ginseng cholesterol one does not. It is like using coconut oil but no grease, and so cheap. I've tried a different brand of Cholesterol but it didn't come close to this one. Amazing!

The other one I had was Hollywood Beauty, sometimes it was good but sometimes it made my hair sticky. And it would get clumped in the drain. Gross.

If say it's impossible to tell. It could be a combination of everything. It could be one or the other. When you're using a massive range of products, as you seem to be, you'll never know for sure.
