If you are a cosmetologist/hairdresser or training to be one, do you like it?

I come from a strict and conservative family, so I know they would not understand or support my interest. But, I am a creative type of person and I love hair and makeup. I love to style people too, I don't do it often but I do my sister's hair and makeup sometimes and I love to try hair and makeup styles on myself, unfortunately I always want to change my hair but that's my own problem. I am one of those self-critical types who could see the exact same hair I have on another girl and love how it looks on her but hate it on my own head.

I think cosmetology school is only a year and could be affordable tuition. When I graduate from school I would consider going to beauty school as one of my options.

I would want to specialize in hair and hair color in particular.
