How would you get this base color (silver brown)?

Alright, so I am joining the Peace Corps and can't go too crazy with my hair, but I'd like it to be an ash brown fading into a silver-ish ombre like this picture (minus the lavender-ish bits). I love this base color and it's dark enough that I could probably tone my natural hair color to it (more or less) as it grows. Any thoughts on what to use? 4/5AA from Wella with color drabber? Right now my hair is a warm level 7-8 with darker pieces underneath. Do I need to bleach it to a level 10 if I'm toning to it's current level?

I plan on mixing a color drabber in everything anyways.

As a note I don't really want to bleach more, I'd be happy with a neutral to cool level 7/8 at the ends. However, if I must, I must.

For reference here's my current color and face without makeup. So, I'm open to hearing "Silver would look awful on you" (I'm not really sure if I'm a warm/cool tone to be honest, but my family only buys me silver jewelry because they say it looks better on me so I assume cool, my mom is def. a warm tone though). Taken in my office with natural light from the window.

As far as getting the silver bit, I was thinking blue steel or even a permanant dye like Kenra in 7 or8 MS.
