What's the method? Does it actually work?

What is the texture of your hair naturally?

If mine weren't straightened with keratin, it would be frizzy-curly. Now it's got a bit of wave if it dries naturally. With frizzy-curly hair, I would never really be able to achieve a sleek, straight look, but leave-ins and serums helped. Also, to try to combat puffy hair, overnight braids helped, as well as wearing a low ponytail in back and wrapping the length completely; I used to cut up old pairs of tights and wrap a few of them down the length. And perhaps I'd throw a hairnet over the top to hold it down flatter... whoa sexy, lol.

My father to this day loves to remind me when I was really young, I read somewhere you could straighten your hair using a clothes iron and towels. I tried it once, it didn't work, but dear old Dad will never let me live it down!

If you have access to youtube, search for it there, it has some good videos. I've followed one of them, it worked really well for me. I do it overnight, after I've washed my hair. You don't need completely drenched hair, I'd say start when its maybe just over halfway dry? Then you take it section by section, combing it flat against you head (obviously be very careful there, because combing when wet can be very damaging). Once its laying flat, get a couple of hair grips and place them along it hold it down. Repeat with all sections. Be careful along top/back of your head, it tends to stick up if you're not careful and then dries with kinks in it. Once I'm done wrapping all the hair around my head, I put a wig cap on to keep it all in place, and then just go to sleep.
My hair is still relatively short, so you might struggle more if you have longer hair, but the girl in the video I watched had long hair and managed it, so its just a matter of practice. I actually prefer this method to straightening, because I have pretty lousy straighteners that don't really work, whereas this method does actually get my hair straight, without making it look unnaturally pin straight, and it lasts longer throughout the day as well πŸ™‚

Wash and condition your hair with a good conditioner. Start by washing and conditioning your hair. Gently towel it dry just until it is no longer dripping. Apply an anti-frizz serum to your hair. Blow-dry your hair with cool. Using your hair dryer's coldest setting. Start blow drying your hair one section at a time. Use a flat paddle brush to brush it out in long, straight strokes as you hold the hair dryer up to the section. Continue drying your hair in this manner until it is completely dry and straight. That's the one way to straighten your hair without using heat.

Use heat protection spray or get Professional hair dryer so it blows cold air and use a hair brush to straighten it (by like slowly going down with your hair brush ). It doesn't work amazingly but it does.
