Hey! I've been dying my own hair "normal" colors for years now using box dyes, and I'm new when it comes to non-boxed dyes. I want to do Manic Panic's Purple Haze (the amplified one in the bottle), but since I've never used the bottled dye like that, I'm not sure how much is in there and how much I'll need. I have short but somewhat thick hair. (picture attached) Should I get a second bottle just in case, or would I be pretty safe just using one? The last time I dyed my hair using a box kit I only used one (where I usually used two when it was longer) and it came out fine.

You should only need one, but I have the same thick hair problem and I get a second one as a back up normally. Just in case I need to touch up any areas missed, which is frequent. It takes a long time to go off, it's not like box dyes that you have to throw anyway anything unused.
