Sadly, they don't have it advertised on their website.

Amy (or anyone else) I'm putting a plan together and i'd like some thoughts if poss!

I've bought the superdrug stuff, I'm going out at the weekend and I'd like my hair to look better, but I saw in the original post that it shifts the colour a bit, I did my hair mandarin about 8 days ago and as expected it has faded a bit. My plan is as follows -

Fri night - wash hair & apply oil. Sleep in oil (ha that sounds funny!)

Sat morning - wash oil out and leave to dry until damp

Also Sat morning - apply some more mandarin or a mandarin conditioner mix

Sat late morning / afternoon - wahs out dye / conditioner, dry etc as normal

Will this work, or do you think that the dye on top will cancel out the effects of the oil?

Thanks πŸ™‚ xxx

Ooh, I really hope it works, am already gutted that I'll have to have another trim on Friday, but I need to be strict, if I stay this length for a few more months then *hopefully* I should have fixed hair πŸ™‚ x

Hey girls, I got some coconut oil myself yesterday and would love to give it a try, I just wanted to ask, do I need to wash my hair before applying the oil? And does the hair need to be dry?

Aply oil to slightly damp hair, you don't need to wash it first, you could just wet your hands then run them through your hair. Applying to damp hair allows the oil to help retain moisture.

Ahhhhhh my hair looked like orange straw today so I did a mini test run of the oil....oh my god! I left it on for about 50 mins, washed out and dried it - it' not 100% but it is a billion times better than it has been for ages, it looks so much better, it feels softer, just fabulous, Amy thanks so much for posting this up! Glad I did a test run as I think overnight might be a bit too much, so I think I will start early on Sat and just leave it on for a couple of hours πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ xxx

I was going to do mine last weekend, but didn't get the time.

So since we're doing DIY this weekend, I think I'm just going to slather it on and cap it while I paint (bonus--oil the hair while preventing accidental paint splodges.  Win!)

I left mine for three hours, and it worked really nicely. My only problem was, since I have short hair, the hair in my neck wasn't willing to stay under the foil and started dripping pink oil down my neck >.< it was annoying, but it was totally worth it. My hair is much softer and shinier now (and since I have curls, they tend to get dry very easily, so I might keep this up even when they're not dyed anymore sometime).

I found the conditioner thing too - my hair has faded a lot but I'm not hating it so far, I used to be an unhappy pink bunny when I got the fade but I think as I've been blonde for a few months the colour underneath is more even x

As soon as I read this post I was like 😯 ...
My hair has been in a pretty bad way since my mother forced me to bleach out all of the colour in the summer before we went on holiday because she didn't want to be seen dead with me incase it ran in the pool or on water rides lol.
So I decided to try it for myself and I'm currently about to get into bed with a head full of coconut oil and covered in an oh-so-sexy hal dyed shower cap... will let you know how it goes in the morning...
