Hi 🙂 I’m just looking for some advice on how to get back to my natural hair colour after years having bleached white hair.
I’ve been bleaching my hair at home since I turned 11 years old, and i’m now 17, so I can barely remember having a full head of my natural strawberry blonde hair colour.
I’ve always toned my hair to a bright white, and it’s in very good condition and not damaged at all because I have always regularly used hot coconut oil to keep it moisturised and soft, and trimmed damaged ends off whenever i see any. About a month ago, I used a semi permanent baby pink dye, and it’s faded to a very pastel colour and my ends have pretty much faded to white again. I’ve been growing out my roots for about 2 months and they’re just over an inch long.
I don’t know where to ask for advice, so I really hope someone can help me! What’s the best way to dye my bleached hair back to as close to my natural coloured roots as possible? I’d like a seamless glossy colour that matches my roots as perfectly as possible; I just want to grow my hair really long, be a natural beauty and never have to dye it again once its been dyed to match my natural colour!
If anyone could give me some advice about what I should do to go back to my natural colour I would really, really appreciate it! I can upload pictures of my roots and their natural colour if that would help too?
Thank you so much if you took the time to read this! 🙂

Well what you want isn't possible lol
It would be great to be able to dye bleached hair back to a natural shade and never have to dye it again, but in reality any colour will fade over a bleached base. You can go more natural, but it will not be upkeep free I'm afraid.
The best way to add colour back to bleached hair is with direct dyes, you don't need any further lift from the peroxide in oxidative dyes, you just want to add colour back in.
Adore have lots of natural shades that you can mix and dilute with conditioner to create a strawberry blonde. I would also consider getting some highlights through the roots as they grow, that way you won't have a harsh line as the colour fades over the bleached area. As it grows you will have a natural balayaged look
I went back to natural a few years ago, i used a mix of adore hair dyes (honey brown and paprika) to get as close to my natural hair colour as possible.
It actually turned out really nice like an ombre effect as it faded too until it eventually grew out. Dont have any pictures showing it properly but heres some pics where you can see the process of getting back to natural.
First Pic: All Paprika covered my roots and turqouise ends.
Second Pic: This was after i cut my ends off to encourage it to grow and with the paprika fade.
Third and Fourth Pic: Missed out on photos of all Honey Brown but this is what it looked like after it faded on the ends of my hair. Bad pictures but you can see the ombre effect kind of...
And finally my hair after it had all grown out
It took about 2 years for me to grow it all out. But the adore hair dyes made it easier and nicer!
