How do I go back to my natural strawberry blonde?

Hi 🙂 I’m just looking for some advice on how to get back to my natural hair colour after years having bleached white hair.

I’ve been bleaching my hair at home since I turned 11 years old, and i’m now 17, so I can barely remember having a full head of my natural strawberry blonde hair colour.

I’ve always toned my hair to a bright white, and it’s in very good condition and not damaged at all because I have always regularly used hot coconut oil to keep it moisturised and soft, and trimmed damaged ends off whenever i see any. About a month ago, I used a semi permanent baby pink dye, and it’s faded to a very pastel colour and my ends have pretty much faded to white again. I’ve been growing out my roots for about 2 months and they’re just over an inch long.

I don’t know where to ask for advice, so I really hope someone can help me! What’s the best way to dye my bleached hair back to as close to my natural coloured roots as possible? I’d like a seamless glossy colour that matches my roots as perfectly as possible; I just want to grow my hair really long, be a natural beauty and never have to dye it again once its been dyed to match my natural colour!

If anyone could give me some advice about what I should do to go back to my natural colour I would really, really appreciate it! I can upload pictures of my roots and their natural colour if that would help too?

Thank you so much if you took the time to read this! 🙂

Cerys

I'm not picturing how red your roots are, but to solve your problem I wouldn't try to match the hair to the roots, but rather go slightly lighter and that actually creates a nice effect. To prevent ending up with a patchy coloring job I would suggest dying your hair with two or three similar colors by strands and layers and that way you get pretty highlights instead of spots all over (which is what tends to happen when you dye light bleached hair with a darker color all over). Good luck  😉

I would recommend Adore. they are direct dyes, so safe to use over bleached hair. You can mix any of the shades, and dilute with conditioner to make blondes.
Most of the browns are warm toned (Medium Brown is very ash, and I think Dark Chocolate is more purple based, so avoid those) something like Mocha diluted will give you a warm toned blonde
