how can I do green dyed-in roots! help!

Hello guys, my first post here!

I have naturally very dark brown hair and I'm wondering how to get this look seen on Lourdes Ciccone. Aside from the front being dyed kind of looks like she's dyed green over some highlights too? I have experience with bleaching my hair for dip dyes (and how much bleaching it can handle) but have no idea where to start with this...and have never tried green before...!

Any tips and recommendations much appreciated!

At first I thought you could do this with highlights along the parting, but thinking some more it really does look like green roots.

You'd have to do a root bleach, similar to bleaching regrowth, then you can put green over it. Remember that roots lift much faster than ends, so you'd need to bleach for much less time than your dip dyes. But I wonder afterwards what would you do? You'd have a band of bleach to grow out (or cover) or you'd keep doing the regrowth and end up with longer and longer bleached roots.

So maybe it would be better to do chunky bleach highlights along the hairline and parting. You'd have more options for what to do next.
