Help!dyed my beard

Hello there,
I am a male and I'm concerned about my beard :/
3 weeks ago I came up with an idea that I want to dye my beard to a lighter color.
I went to my barber (same one for 3 years already), and he started to bleach my beard. The pain was horrible but he said it's fine. The chemical left on my face for about an hour and afterwards I washed it and the beard was blonde-grey colored(as I wanted). The next day I had chemical burns all over my cheeks and chin even though I didn't feel any pain. After a week and a half the burns were gone and now I have only few places with red areas but I believe it will recover(feels  itching sometimes).

The thing is, a week ago I shaved my bread almost completely and it grew up and parts of my beard are still blonde! A part of the beard is back to normal(black color) but there are a lot of completely blonde hairs (the roots are blonde)!
It looks like the black ones are much longer and grew much faster and the blonde ones are shorter and hardly grew(if it grew at all, I don't know).

Will it all go back to it's normal state? There is any possibility that the chemical burns damaged the hair growth? I'm really worried about it since I had a very full and nice beard and now it looks like there are missing parts in it, I feel like the blonde hair won't go back to my fast growth black bread πŸ™

It doesn't sound right to me that the bleach burns would alter the colour of hair growth. If that was the case most women I know would have a blond patch or two! How much growth have you experienced since shaving your beard?

Sometimes the bleach can bleed a bit into the root so it'll be bleached a little further down than you'd expect. It won't always be uniform, so it might be why it's patchy. It can't and won't permanently affect the colour, it's not possible. All of you individual hairs grow at slightly different rates as well, so it would also contribute to the different patches.

It sounds like you had bad burns, but probably not bad enough to affect the growth pattern. Most of the time for that you'd have to have burns bad enough to take you to hospital. I'm pretty certain it'll return to normal.

Thanks for the comment!
about 60% of the beard is back to normal(still kinda thin) but the other 40% are fully blonde ,really thin and weak.

Thanks for the detailed comment, I appreciate it.

The burns were pretty bad and there's a small red circle oמ my left cheek. I hope it will recover and won't stay as a scar(it's not that noticeable, only if you look closer).

You said that "All of your individual hairs grow at slightly different rates", it's true but it looks strange to me that some hairs almost fully recovered and others didn't even grow and are such thin and weak that you can't even see them without a light on them, I think those are not "slightly different rates".  So the color won't stay forever, but what about the growth rate/hair thinness?

I have heard that coconut oil might help the recovery process but I went to search for it nearby and found only the cooking oil version, should I get it anyways?

Thanks!

I would think the cooking version would be fine, just check the ingredients, if its pure coconut oil that will be the only ingredient and its safe, but if theres other stuff in there I wouldn't use it.
