I bleached a few highlights in then used 'frost ash' toner on whole head and now my natural hair is orange!  I'm so confused,  i figured it would go grayish more than anything.
Going to get purple shampoo today.. any other tips though would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! Xoxo

When you use an oxidative toner (any that need mixing with developer ie peroxide) it will lift your natural hair and reveal the underlying pigments, especially if you use a strong peroxide (eg 20 vol). The amount of colour in a toner is not enough to tint anything darker than light blonde, hence the orange tones.

You can make your own toner with a violet dye and conditioner or use a direct dye such as one from Adore, or even Wella Colour Fresh, which doesn't require peroxide, to tone the orangey areas.
