Help! Experimenting with my salt and pepper hair....

Hi guys,

I wanted to go grey so I grew out some inches of grey hair and as experimental I am  *stars*  I tried to put turmeric on my salt and pepper hair to see what it would look like.  When I washed it out it didn't went out completely  :- it left a yellow tint on my salt hair .. I read that vitamin C mask ( crushed 4 tablets in a conditioner) would fade any build up colours so I used that it for my bad luck (  *boo* I used the orange ones!) it turned my salt hair sort of a an orange brown colour  *ott*. Tried to wash it out with a clarifying shampoo but the colour still exists. Is there any solution for that? I want to get rid of any color. Actually I wanted to grow out the grey hair and see how I would feel myself with it and then decide to either keep it or cover up my greys again.

I appreciate your support, thanks!

Isn't there anyone who could advise or has any idea how I can get my grey hair back?

have you tried any of the other fading methods? there are multiple threads on them if you search the forum. I tend to use a mixture of shampoo, bicarb and lime but there are others.

I tried head and shoulders shampoo, it faded a little bit. I will repeat that several times, but I was wondering if someone tried something more effective. But I will take your advice and search the forum for more ideas.

I usually use a clarifying shampoo with a little bit of fairy liquid, sodium bicarbonate and half a lime. Lather it with a tiny bit of water and leave it for 20-30 minutes. make sure to rinse thoroughly to get all the bicarb out of the hair or it will feel gritty after. It dries the hair but doesnt damage it. A good moisturising conditioner after will get your hair back to normal.

Thank you very much. I'll give it a try.
