Can anybody reccomend a good heat protector? At the moment I'm using a a Lee Stafford one & if I'm honest, it seems to do hardly anything. I got it awhile ago when it was on deal so it's almost gone so want to get a new one. I've been thinking about trying ORS Olive Oil Heat Protection, anybody tried this?

Honestly I think the whole concept of heat protectant to be BS. If truly protected the hair wouldn't be straightened / curled. The very fact that it is is because it's altered by heat.

I thought heat protection products were just to provide a barrier so the hot metal isn't directly touching the hair?
