My hair bobbles evaporate - I think they elope with pens - so I was looking for new ones, metal-free please, and I keep seeing these popbands (amazon link) They claim to not cause any damage or even kinks but still hold the hair tight and secure.
Has anyone here tried them?
They look like a bit of elastic ribbon with a knot tied in it, is that literally all they are?
How big are they?
Do they snag or damage the hair at all?
There's also a lot of blatant knock-offs already, is there any significant difference between them and the "real" popbands?

I have a few of these. They don't damage hair but they don't stay in very well at all. They also don't stay like a nice thick band, the elastic twists into a skinny little thing that leaves marks in my hair. I prefer the plastic ones that look like telephone cord.

Aw, disappointing.
I mostly just use elastics on the end of my braid though, my hair doesn't behave in a ponytail anymore. Maybe I'll get a couple of cheapy knockoffs to try the concept, I don't think my current skinny elastics are doing my hair any favours.
Those telephone cord style ones look terrifying! lol. I bet my cat would love them 😉

The telephone cord ones are what I use to put my hair up for bed. They don't snag or leave any marks and hold my hair all night. I was using the tied elastics but they wear out so quick and sometimes came out at night.
