So I was a bit bored of my gingery, long hair that was starting to get very unhealthy. I didn't know if I wanted a purple or blond colour so I decided on blond because then it would it be easier to go to unnatural colours if I wanted.
So I started like this:
and somehow ended with this
I cried so much. I know it looks good in a sort of science teacher way, but it's a shock, it's just not me. It's just so flat and boring...
I know there's nothing I can do about the cut, except maybe style it differently (any ideas on that?)
What I really want is to go to another salon ASAP and get it lightened. Is this possible?
My other idea is use something like Sun-In to lighten it a bit at home and then put some copper hair mask just to liven it up... any other ideas?
Going to a salon is probably not your best bet, many hairdressers aren't great at lightening hair without damage. I would use a colour remover to remove the brown dye in your hair, such as colour b4.
They are non damaging and can be used up to three times to remove the dye molecules.
What did you ask for?
Did you complain to the salon manager?
I agree with Marthakins, get a colour remover on there.
If you're wanting a coppery effect you could use henna but bear in mind it's permanent! So maybe one of the Adore range of dyes would be better there.
I'm so sorry this happened, I would go with the color before or even adore they have some amazing colors to put over this base, mahogany or copper brown would be amazing! I would definitly take it up with the salon manager, as others have mentioned and if not they won't do something then I'd burn up the review sites and share your experience,
I know you don't like It but I think the cut is actually very flattering to your face shape, maybe try some fun things like halo braids or beachy waves to feel like it's sassed up a bit?
