Wow, that is amazing! Well done Muza!

I measured my hair last week after my hair cut (I had around 1 inch off) and my hair measures 14.5"! I'm so proud! I cannot believe how long it is! πŸ˜€ I'm just gunna keep measuring it every 3 months or so to make sure it keeps growing πŸ™‚

EDIT:
Also, I've heard protecting your hair while asleep is important? Such as wearing it in plaits or something. Does this really help?
I also have a Egyptian cotton bedsheets as I hate silk against my skin.

Have you thought about trying a silk sleep cap? I haven't used one but that won't be on your skin and then you can have whatever bed sheets you like πŸ™‚

I need to learn how to plait properly then! Aha!

My "a bit" turned out "a bit more", I noticed some ends snapping on the last 5cms or so and ended up cutting a tiny bit more than expected... Thats what I get for running around with loose hairs everyday and stop braiding it before I go to sleep, the mechanical rub and the tangling ends brought the rest of it down πŸ˜›

I can't sleep on silk, it drives me crazy. The feeling is so weird πŸ™

That's a shame Aeryu!

How to you wear, so to speak, your hair every day?
I tried a side braid for a day look but my hair braided came to just below my chin 0.o I usually wear it down, I do put it in a bun/ponytail, but rarely do so.

Yes, it just feels.... yuk. I don't know how to describe it, like a slivery snake, not that I've ever touched a snake. I have egyptian cotton bed sheets, and it's so amazing. I only have 200 count or something, my dad has 1000 count :O, the more count, the more expensive, I don't know what it means, I just know it's softer.

Snakes actually feel lovely, very warm, and sort of firm yet sleek. You should definitely stroke a snake if you ever get the chance lol.

I have Egyptian higher thread count sheets/pillowcases too. I've tried satin pillowcases chen I was younger and hated them, like it felt like my hair would get caught on it lol

The thread count is something to do with how finely woven/thin the strands are I believe, like how many are in a square inch. So if there's 200 strands in a square inch, it's going to be more 'abrasive' so to speak, than 1000 thread count. Once I bought myself my own nice bed, down blanket and high thread count sheets, I could never use 'regular' sheets ever again, it feels like straw to me now lol. I really do believe that the pillowcases you sleep on, and the position you sleep in has a big effect on your hair. Like with more cheapy cases, I feel like my hair gets a lot rougher at the back (what I sleep on) and dries out a lot more than when I use higher end cases. I even noticed it with my kids, their hair would feel rougher and more fluffy on the sides they sleep on. I couldn't find any high thread count sheets for toddler beds or cribs so I just made them out of ones that we already had.

In the US, discount department stores that carry stuff like last season name brands, like TJMaxx, Marshall's or Burlington often have high thread count sheets for a much lower price. Or places like Macys will have their bedding SUPER on sale sometimes. I got a 600 thread count TH duvet for only $40, it was 85% off I think. I got a package of a couple 800 thread count pillowcases for about $15, and when Hudson's changed to Marshall Field's, I got their brand of a top sheet that is 800 thread count for maybe $12. I just refuse to pay full price for these luxuries lol, so keep an eye out in any clearance sections if you have any department stores where you live, you may just find a steal!

Either a side braid that starts a bit higher to grab all the loose hairs from the other side or three smaller braids braided into one

Other times its just loose if I am home and if the weather isnt too bad to allow it. Ponytail not as often anymore, it feels like my hair is being pulled down by some force πŸ™‚

Thanks :D.

Old colour combination πŸ™‚ I regret not taking more braid photos, I've had quite a few styles happening and it always looked cool πŸ˜€

Looks so pretty!

My hair has been feeling longer since the weekend but I've lost my tape measure so I don't actually know if it is or not! Sam said he thought it looked longer as well though πŸ˜€ YAY! I am due a trim next week though which I've been assured is the last of my damage (hopefully!)
