Hair growing

haha oh yes this weather is atrocious, I've been blown around a little bit, not nice! haha

Absolutely nothing has been the same this time, so yeah that must be a good sign I was just hoping for the lovely growth spurt in my hair that I was treated to last time :p

Decided to get a haircut on the 24th of december, after about 18 months without a "real" haircut and only chopping ends. So the new haircut puts me at about over half of my goal which I am probably going to reach by the end of the year 🙂

I recently hit 31 inches, which I'm happy about but I'm getting into my phase where my hair does nothing but annoy me and I can't do anything with it. Which is not true, it usually just means that I need to switch up my shampoo and conditioner, my hair gets angry at me when I use the same brands for too long.

Just had to say, I don't recognise myself from the back anymore.  My hair has never been this long.  And now that I'm quite happy with the colour, I think it's time to take great care of it and keep on letting it grow!

And the day after using a curling wand, so it's got a lot of body after being brushed out.  But I still don't recognise me.  🙂

Wow Alexia, you have beautiful hair! I love the color and the curls too. I wish I could get such curls with a curling wand... my hair doesn't curl with those wands or curling irons 🙁

Aeryu, my hair only looks good from behind when it's freshly washed and has got some body - otherwise it gets greasy and flat and horrible.  I'd think your hair looks gorgeous from any angle - it looks healthy and smooth, and I love the colour in your avatar!

Mine is pretty similar with that, on day 3 its going crazy and if I dont blow dry it (cold, warm)- and I usually don't, it kind of just rests there without any volume or control.
Growing my hair reminds me of my hairs true face though 😀

Every time I try getting my hair a bit curly it just goes flat after a few minutes.

I meant it more in a way of... you know when you enter a store and can see your back side from the security camera on a screen infront of you? Always throws me off 😛

It is really weird seeing the back of your head in a security camera, I know what you mean!

When I don't use a heat curling appliance and want curls/waves, I put in curlers or wrap hair around my finger and bobby-pin it overnight.  And one item that I've rediscovered lately (my mother used to use it on me when she'd set my hair!) is setting lotion - I squeeze on a bit of the lotion and usually use an attractive hairnet (NOT :D) to sleep in, and it seems to really help keep the style.

Not sure if you've got anything similar where you are, but the one I use is called StaySet:

I haven't looked into the ingredients, but I'm quite certain it's okay to use.

I've noticed just how much my hair has grown recently and I feel like doing the happy dance! The first pic was May 2012, the second was the other day yippieeee!
I've deffo cut back on the bleaching so this has helped a lot!

I measured my hair 2 days ago and I've reached 15", bit late on measuring which means my hair growing has slowed a little, but hopefully it will pick up again soon 🙂

ETA - I can now tie my fringe back with my hair! I wonder if I will like my hair without a fringe, I think I've had a fringe since I was about 16 and cut my first mullet in haha

Yay! Even if my hair hasn't gotten longer yet, it's definitely thicker and shinier this week 🙂
