I bought some light blonde extensions, then I put silver shampoo on them and a platinum crazy colour to match my hair, but since doing my roots and them going pretty wrong I'm thinking it'll be simpler if I just stay a light/white blonde than grey if my roots are going to be a ballache. Would bleach bathing my extensions be a stupid stupid idea or if I just do the same as with my hair (coconut oil etc) mean that it's okay? they're 100% human.

they have already been through a lot of processing before you got them, so a bleach bath *may* ruin them, but if you arent gonna be able to use them anyway if you dont then a really gentle one with coconut oil before hand might be okay. Ive bleach bathed mine before like that and gave a them a really long deep conditioning treatment after and they felt fine!

oh ok that's encouraging, thanks 🙂 I might try that soon then. They match at the moment but I was considering letting my hair go back to white instead of maintaining the grey then matching them then.

You also can try soaking them in washing up liquid/head and shoulders overnight ... someone on here did that years ago and it brought them back to their base shade.

Can anyone tell me if these look ok? Don't need to dye them or anything, just as a stopgap while my hair grows back.

I use Lush Hair Extensions (clip ins) as I had a bad reaction to the stitch and bond method of extensions, and they're pricey.

I've found them to be quite good so far, I'm excited to dye them along with my actual hair!

I've tried sooo many different brands of hair extensions over the years and these are by far definitely my favourite;

They are not to badly priced and come in different thicknesses and they last ages 🙂

Hi,
I am currently thinking of going from a semi dyed black back to brunette, I have used colour b4 on my hair being black previously and it worked, however I was wondering if colour b4 (hair stripper) would also work on hair extensions, They are from crown and glory I have had them a year they are the best extensions I have ever bought hands down if anyone is looking for some, they was £130 but so worth it, 18" you can also get 20" and they are quad wefted so theres four wefts on one if that makes sense making it super thick, if you go on there website look at the tetra weft, this is coming from someone who has used near enough every extension brand you can think of. Anyway back to my main point they are 100% human hair and a hair dresser did say as long as they are human hair I can use colour b4 on them, was wondering if anyone else could give me advice on this if they have done this themselves or know of anyone? xxx

If you bought the hair extension black , then no. You can colour human hair but you can't lighten colours they came in. It can be possible but you run the risk of trashing them. Mine literally started cooking.

In that case, I'd use the remover -  not the stripper. Try a strand test 🙂

hmmm I have colour b4'd some extensions before, they went the lightest blonde then reoxidised right back to the original colour while I was rinsing them. I'd give it a go for sure as it's cheaper than buying new ones, just be prepared for it not to work and for them to get very very dry! Let us know how you get on of you decide to do it!
