Thanks 🙂

One of the downsides is that it seems very expensive to have done at a salon (£400 at one place I looked at :o) or with a stylist visiting your home, and I guess it's pretty difficult to install them on yourself without anyone to help.

Has anyone got any new links for ebay as the one posted has expired now :(. I've also been looking at hairextensionsonsale.co.uk but I don't know what they're like. Otherwise I'll stick with Pauls Hair World 🙂

Has anybody bought one of those one piece extensions from Halo Hair Extensions? How was the quality, is it quite thin/thick? It says it has 100g of hair but in some peoples pics online the ends look really thin and scraggly and in others (mainly the companies pics...) it looks nice and thick.

I like the idea of the one piece halo on a wire because there are no clips and I only want to add thickness not length, but at £99.99 I'm not sure whether to take the risk and buy it or not. So first I would like to hear from people who have one and whether they think it's any good or not/worth the price.

I've seen them and they don't seem like they're worth the money. I think you're paying for the idea more lol. I can't see it feeling secure enough either. Also they look like a nightmare to dye as it's all in one rather than individual wefts.

Yeah something in my head keeps putting off buying one incase I find it's just not worth the money - they're certainly not cheap. I paid around £80 for headkandy extensions when I was my natural brunette and they were worth it, lots of hair but no good to me now with red hair. I would have to bleach them first which would ruin them.

I could probably even make one these one pieces myself but I'm lazy lol. I've found out a shop in town stocks them so might go in and ask to see one out of the packaging see the thickness/quality.

I have been thinking about it and decided to not even bother with the Halo one piece - don't really want to spend £100 on extensions right now.

I'm going to buy some individual wefts and double them up like you mentioned in your video. That way I can design them to fit where and how I want and dye them easier.

I was browsing ebay before I saw this & found some called "lush hair extensions" that seemed quite cheap, has anyone used them?

I found out about Lush Hair Extensions earlier and I'm thinking about buying one of their DIY wefts to make my own. Did you buy any from them in the end? I notice there are a lot of good feedback on their eBay but a few neg and neutral but I guess everyones expectations are different. If I double mine up I'm hoping they wont look too thin.

I am either going to buy shade 613 or 60. I am thinking maybe go for the ligther shade (60)? just incase the 613 make the red come out darker than it does on my base (I use Schwarzkopf platinum blonde on my naturally brown hair - it comes out a yellow blonde colour, pic below).

I've used lush hair extensions before. They're nice, not that thick but you do get a nice amount of hair, although I suspect theymixed synth in with real as mine did have some white hairs that wouldn't dye, though not loads

Thanks Glitterpix - might give them a go could always buy on eBay so got the protection when paying by PayPal. I don't want anything too fancy and guess I cannot expect it when I'm paying around £30 - £50. A lot of other places are more expensive and some don't sell the DIY wefts just ready made sets.

I wonder if their shop on eBay sells ones that are slightly faulty/thinner though because everything seems about £10 ish cheaper on there than their website. I remember Foxylocks sold a load on eBay earlier last year as factory seconds (ends thinning) for cheaper.

Update 14th January: So I tweeted Lushhairextensions.co.uk the other day about whether their extensions sold on their eBay were of the same quality as their website or factory seconds because of the cheaper price... I wanted to know before spending my money on them - I didn't get an answer. So today I posted a similar question on their Facebook page and my comment was also not answered, it was actually deleted and I can now see I have also been blocked from posting/commenting on their page. I was not rude in my comment, I was simply asking a genuine question before purchasing their products.

I think they answered my question quite clearly by deleting and blocking me - the answer must be they are not as good, otherwise if that wasn't true they would have simply answered my question letting me know they are the same quality for all other customers to see as well.

I really dislike companies who do this sort of thing and therefore they have just lost a prospective customer.

Ouch, that's nasty that they didn't even have the decency to reply--obviously they are trying to sell an inferior product at an inflated price.
