Hair colour balancing help! Purple to Ginger???

Hello! I've recently put Purple Haze onto my very light lavander/blonde hair (pre-bleached) and now as it washes out it's multiple basically back to a very light purple/lilac/lavander with tiny streaks of darkish purple.

Here's the thing, I'm starting a new job next week and I need a normal hair colour and I've chosen a permanent L'oreal Feria 'Mango Intense Copper'. My trouble is I don't want to bleach all the colour out of my hair before unless need be.

So, if I was to put this over my hair as it is now will it go the colour it is on the box or am I to expect green or something horrendous?

Purple Haze is a red based product so I'm assuming it wont?

Sorry for my rambling, just need some advice!

I gather you don't want to bleach it all out because you won't want to use bleach as it's damaging?  Not because you eventually want the light purple back, right?  (That's how I first read it, lol.)

If I understand correctly, I'd say the best advice is to use colour removers to take out as much of the purple as you can, then see what you're left with.  That's probably the gentlest way, however you'd need to wait a good week after using a remover before you use anything more with peroxide in it, to make sure the old colour molecules are completely rinsed out, because "reoxidising" is a possibility = the old colour could come back if you use with anything that's got peroxide in it and your hair hasn't been rinsed enough times.

If you go this route, make sure you look for colour removers, and not colour strippers, because the strippers are very damaging, similar to using bleach!

There are also a lot of great fading techniques on this forum which give pretty much instant results if you have a search, such as Bleach Powder + Shampoo and oils, then you wouldn't have to wait to rinse out the colour molecules before you re-colour.  All fading techniques are a bit drying to the hair, but they've got great results and don't damage the way bleach (with peroxide) does.

After you remove/fade the colour, I wouldn't necessarily recommend a box dye because they are rather unpredictable and also quite damaging as well.  I'm sure others here could recommend a good true semi dye you could use to get the same results as the copper you're after, but I'd say this method would be gentler to your hair.

Lastly, we'd love to see pictures... πŸ˜€

Good luck.

Alexias advice is dead on here, I would add that adore has a great range of gingery shades ranging from auburn shades to brighter oranges so I'd look in to them over a box dye as they are not damaging.
