Greasy hair help?

Hello everyone, I have been having this problem recently with my hair getting really greasy looking really fast, it looks/gets greasy almost as soon as it is dry after washing. I have not used a new shampoo or conditioner recently I try not to wash that often and just use dry shampoo in between but even after using dry shampoo it goes greasy. I have tried CO washing and that just makes it look worse so I don't know what is causing it or how to stop it :(. The only thing I can think of it that I do swap between a few different shampoo's and conditioners that I have but I don't know if that would have this effect.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It's unlikely to be grease as you're washing it away. Most likely if is a build up of something. Have you done a clarifying wash?

Janineb is likely right. Dimethicone does this to my hair and I have been trying to get rid of products with this but it's in damn near everything. Wash with clarifying shampoo and if you need to condition afterwards try to use something silicone free as silicones are the most common causes of buildup.

Thanks I will give that a go, thing is I only use products that are cone free :/. Could still be build up though you are right.

Yeah, it could be something else still. I know there's several here that like the cholesterol conditioner from boots. I tried it and it left my hair feeling greasy, even though I'd hardly used any of it! I tried rinsing a couple of times the next time and still felt bad, so I gave up on that. So it's also possible its a conditioner that's too rich or you're not rinsing enough.

Even when using cone free conditioners I need to rinse a couple of times to stop my hair feeling greasy as soon as it dries, I would definitely try just rinsing for ages.
