Greasy hair

My brother suffers from really greasy hair, he'll wash it & within a few hours it starts to look greasy again & by the next day he looks like he hasn't washed his hair in a month. He's tried not washing it for about 7 days hoping that it'll at least give him a couple days before it gets greasy again but it didn't work, I suggested dry Shampoo but that doesn't work either within a couple of hours after using it, it looks greasy again. Is there any Shampoos or something that can help with this?

He should go see a dermatologist. They should be able to help. Does he suffer from greasy skin anywhere else?

Sounds like something medical.

How long is his hair?  What shampoos/products does he use regularly?  (just curious really tbh)

How long did he try that for? Just the once or over a period of time?

I'll mention a dermatologist too him & no, it's just his hair that gets greasy.

Not extremely long, he tends to get it cut to about a number 2 on the sides & a 3 on top so it's easier to manage & doesn't look too greasy when it's short. But sometimes he'll grow it out for awhile as her prefers the look of longer hair. He uses just Head & Shoulders Shampoo, he doesn't use any products to style his hair as his hair is quite straight so usually fills quite nicely especially when it's abit longer.

Over a period of time, maybe over about 3 months before he gave up. It didn't work at all, would still get just as greasy.

It could be the head and shoulders. It's pretty harsh and most people who use it don't need to.

He lives with my dad, so I guess he just uses it as that's what my dad buys, I'll mention to him about changing his shampoo & see what happens.

Ditching the H&S would be a good start.
For hair that short he'd only need a tiny tiny amount of shampoo anyway, like a 5p piece size.

My husband's hair is usually a no 2-3, he just uses shower gel all over.  I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

I would switch to a gentle shampoo, something simple and SLS free ideally, or try CO washing. Then space the washes out gradually, so he is washing less frequently.

We went down to our local Sainburys earlier on & I got him a Shampoo. We're gonna see if that works & if not he's going to attempt cowashing. Thanks for the advice!
