Hi, I am really struggling to find an answer to this anywhere on the internet so I thought someone here might be able to help me! I went from black to a dirty, sandy blonde which is what I wanted. The problem is when I had my bonded extensions done, the girl f*cked up my colour match and half of my hair is a white blonde so way lighter than my real hair. I keep having to put some of my old clip in extensions in to try and blend the colour a bit more but on the whole I hate it... What I want to know is how I get the extensions to match my real hair? I know I will have to put some of the colour back in i.e. yellow/ orange but I wouldn’t even know how to do that! I did message her the next day saying I wasn’t happy and she was after charging me more to sort it on top of the few hundred I had just spend. I understand it will cost her money but it’s not my fault she got it wrong in the first place! It’s been a couple of weeks now and I can’t cope with it anymore. I just hate it.
If you aren't happy with the extensions you should really go back to the salon and get then changed if they aren't what you paid for.
If you want a DIY solution you can make them darker with direct dyes that aren't damaging. Adore make a range of natural shades, Medium Brown (which is very ash toned) and Mocha (which is warm)can be mixed to get the right shade and diluted with conditioner to make a blonde toner. Give the extensions a wash with shampoo, no conditioner, and apply. You can leave it on as long as you want, longer helps it to last better. Then rinse with cool water. It will fade over time (especially if you use shampoo and hot water) but you can top up as often as you need.
