From Splat Ocean Ombré to Blonde?

Hi everyone,

I need a bit of help here. I am trying to get back to a nice light brown or blonde color so I can let my hair grow out for a while. I have used a myriad of colors on my hair in the past year but the most recent color was Splat Ocean Ombré. Before that was splat blue and fushia.

Last night I used Born Blonde and then a blonde box dye on top of that. It still has a green tinge to it plus I have parts that are pink, guessing from where I had fushia.

Any tips on how to get to a natural color with the least damage would be amazing. My hair is pretty fried from the months of torture I've put it through.

my best option would be to tell you to just go for a brown color? or let it all grow out naturally. looks kinda cool like that! you can pull it off. but go to your salon and have them dye your hair closest to your natural color

Have you tried a colour remover? It actually should have been your first move before using two blonde dyes in a row, which in itself is bad for your hair and scalp. Please don't do that again 🙂

Don't go to a salon either. They'll almost certainly just bleach it and that's a really bad idea now. Any permanent dye (dye with peroxide) would be a bad idea for at least a month.

I agree with Janine.
Do not use any products which contain peroxide for a few months ( bleach, box dyes , oxidative toners)
Try the color remover for sure. The color b4 fashion colors has a pre claryfier which is good for removing these sort of stains. Just remembe they do dry out the hair so condition your hair after with a deep moisture conditioner.
If that doesn't work thenTry other fading methods such as the anti dandruff shampoo, vitamin c, bi carb methods or the bleach powder-shampoo- oils method.
Since your hair is double processed, i would try to avoid the bleach powder method.
If you want another color, adore do a nice range of natural shades which are direct dyes and will be better for your hair.
