While looking for information to respond to a thread on here, I came across this article that addresses a LOT of the questions people usually have about hair colouring. It's aimed at salon colourists, and it actually advocates a healthy approach to permanently colouring and changing hair colour.
Among the topics in the article are how to deal with brassiness, how to go from a dark shade to a lighter one, how to correct hair that has too much red in it, how to deal with fried hair and how to deal with stubborn greys.
I know we get asked these sort of questions regularly and I thought it might be useful! I also found it pretty fascinating to read, especially regarding grey coverage.
That's a great find, Intemp! π Thanks for posting it!
You're welcome!
I really liked the tip of how to check for build up by comparing the ends of your hair to the midlengths--if the ends are darker, you definitely have staining/porosity issues, but if they're the same or lighter, you're fine π
