Hello π
I've already seen many posts on here with girls asking how to also achieve this colour so I am sorry for asking again.
I currently dye my hair with Rubine (directions) and I am naturally very dark brown so have to bleach my roots everytime they grow through resulting in my hair being lighter ontop. Nightmare!
Any way, I was wondering what colours could I use to achieve this dark teal colour? I have always been red/pink haired. So im nervous about doing it but I need a change! I am unsure on what to put ontop of my pink/red rubine hair. I like Enchanted Forest by manic panic, but could do with making it a bit darker. I did see Pravana green but its to expensive for me right now. I dont want vibrant green or vibrant blue. I am just stuck on what to use!
Any suggestions would be absolutely wonderful! And much appreciated.
Thank you!
Eliza
You should try to get rid of as much red/pink as possible. Putting green over red can make a muddy brown color. You need to find a blue based green to achieve that color. I would mix a dark green like enchanted with about 1/4 to 1/2 pot of a dark blue. The old alpine would have been good but i havent used the new formula near yet so i dont know how blue it is anymore.
Apparently Directions have gone back to the old formula for Alpine, or at least made it more teal again.
If the Rubine is fading to pink, a blue green will cover fine but may be more blue toned. If it isn't faded enough you will get purple/blue rather than green, so try and fade as much as possible first.
Thank you both so much!
Will now make sure to wash my hair every day! (I wont miss dry shampoo for now) It is fading to light pink and orange at the ends.
Could I mix Alpine with another colour to make sure I get as close to the colour I want? What would you suggest?
Thank you ever so much! π

I am thinking of mixing Alpine with Turquoise by directions? Or would that come out to bright? Should I mix a bit of ebony?
Strand test it, as it will pull bluer over pink, but greener over orange. You can add blue for the orange areas, Midnight blue makes a great deep Teal when mixed with Alpine Green.
My only problem right now is money.
I am thinking just Alpine as I prefer that than Alpine Green but mixing it with midnight blue! Will that be quite a dark teal do you think? I dont want it to dark, but not to vibrant!
Sorry for all the questions! I am just clueless when it comes to any colour other than red haha! And i've seen lots of vibrant greens and blues and dont want either! :/
Mixed 50:50 it is a pretty dark mix, but you can alter the proportions to suit your needs and/or dilute with conditioner if you want it lighter.
Just bought midnight blue and alpine green! Will post pics when i've done this! You've been so much help thank you!!! π
Looking forward to seeing it!
