Dye taking longer to arrive pluss copper box dye over bright red?

I don't know if I can ask this here, but does it usually take longer time for things to arrive at this time of the year? It's been almost 3 weeks, but I cannot complain yet.
I am slightly bored of my bright pinkish red hair after having it for about two months and want a slight change. I want a more coppery red but it's taking so long, that I just want to buy a permanent copper dye from my closest beauty store. But I know I can't mix dyes, pluss I recently refreshed my colour because it was so faded and ugly and I didn't want that anymore.
I don't know if I can wait much longer. Should I just buy the box dye, try my best to wash as much dye as possible out and just dye over? I am not really trying to be bright ginger, I don't mind it being darker, but I just wonder if it will work. I redyed it with raging red a week ago, washed it every other day and it's as bright as if it was dyed today.
