Dusty Blonde Hair (literally)

I hope this silly thread makes you giggle as much as it does to me in posting it. πŸ˜€

I've been washing my hair on average about 2 to 3 times every two weeks at most, which is a 'stretch' for me.  There is the odd occasion where my fringe looks a little greasier just before a wash, so I hang my head over the sink and just wash the fringe so it looks a bit fresher for work the next day.

I washed my fringe this past week, and - you know after you've done some heavy cleaning with maybe a sponge and dunking your hands in a bucket of dirty water, then you wash your hands and the water running off your hands is a bit greyish in the sink?  Well I could swear the water running from my fringe into the white sink, after not having washed it for a few days, was that dirty grey too!

And it could not have been dye running off because I used sulphate-free stuff, and I've learnt to use a very diluted silvering toner in my fringe because too much makes it turn bluey.

So I've come to the silly conclusion that hair can get dusty.

After work I have to turn my head upside down and shake out my hair like an old rug. Dust, bird seed shells, animal fur and god knows what else comes out. Hair is very good at collecting stuff.

Haha, that's slightly worrying, luckily my hair is too short to really collect things at the moment πŸ™‚
