Hey hair beauts,
Either I'm imagining this and I'm going bonkers or it is a fact.....
I stay 95% of my time at my boyf's in Warwick, but my flat is in Guildford. (90 miles away.)
It seems every time I wash my hair at my flat, my hair is dry, lifeless and dull. But if I wash it at his is Warwick its shiny, swishy and lush. (I use the same products at both locations.)
Is it the change in hard/soft water?
Before I met him and I was at my flat all the time my hair was lush but now I'm here all the time it seems to have adapted - is this even possible??!!
Please help!!

Oh my goodness!
I am down just outside Guildford atm, and I've noticed the same thing, I live in stoke on trent usually (a soft water area)
Soap lathers less well in hard water, so I think it might be. But mine does the same thing with the switch over πŸ™‚
No idea why though!

Edit: my oh my goodness was because it's a small world and I was wondering the exact same thing earlier.

Yes, it makes a difference. It could be the soap lathering thing. It took me a few years for my hair to behave well after moving to a hard water area. I'd always managed to live in soft water areas until about 7 years ago.

Hard water is evil to hair and skin.  It leaves traces of minerals that dry out hair and skin, which can cause dry skin problems, worsen eczema/psoriasis symptoms and make hair dull, dry, lifeless and more prone to tangling and snapping.  These deposits also can cause grease and dirt to be trapped underneath them ... so if you have greasy hair issues and you've recently changed venues, it could very well be the water.  It can even thin out your hair because of build up on the scalp can stop new growth.

Clarifying shampoos can remove this, but as we try and avoid these, the best things for it are either buying a filter or there is some evidence that vinegar rinses can help remove the build up (yay!  Another reason why vinegar rinses are so good for your hair!).

You can get shower heads which filter the water at the same time, I've been meaning to get on for an age!
